Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent (MDIS Tashkent) was founded on 5 September 2007 as one of the first international university branches in Uzbekistan.

In 2015, Teesside University established its broader partnership with MDIS. Through this collaboration, MDIS Tashkent delivers Teesside University courses via a franchised delivery model, providing students with opportunities to progress to internationally recognised undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications.

MDIS Tashkent offers programmes in areas including business management, banking and finance, tourism and hospitality, graphic design, and marketing. Serving students from Uzbekistan and across CIS countries, the institution meets the growing demand for skilled professionals and has trained more than 4,500 graduates.
