Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is Malaysia’s largest public university. Founded in 956, UiTM’s main campus is in Shah Alam in addition to an extensive network of study locations in Malaysia, including four campuses, 24 faculties, seven academic centres and two institutes of leadership.
The university is widely recognised for its role in widening access to higher education and supporting national socio-economic development.
UiTM partnership with Teesside University began in 2002, making it one of the longest-standing UK-Malaysia higher education relationships. It offers validated overseas delivery with shared teaching, leading to a single Teesside University award. Courses include business and management, engineering and technology, built environment, creative arts, health sciences, education and social sciences disciplines from foundation to postgraduate level. Programmes are designed to be industry-relevant, with a strong emphasis on applied learning, professional values and graduate employability.
