Anna van Wersch, with Judith Eberhardt and Neil Meikle, has had an article Attitudes Towards the Male Contraceptive Pill in Men and Women in Casual and Stable Sexual Relationships in the refereed Journal of Family Planning and Reproductive Health. The article will appear in the July issue this year.

Anna has also, with NHS consultant Richard Walker, been part of a successful bid to the NHS Research for Patient Benefit programme, which supports a Health Psychology trainee to work in the NHS for three years and at the same time to register here as a PhD student, and complete the second stage of the Health Psychology accreditation here under Anna’s supervision.

Anna has also had considerable positive media attention with her research work on binge drinking, and has done some excellent media interviews.

Rob MacDonald has had an article, Disconnected Youth? Social Exclusion, the ‘underclass’ and economic marginality published in the on-line international journal Social Work and Society in a special issue concerned with marginalised youth.

Ray Arthur has been appointed as a member of the Arts & Humanities Research Council’s (AHRC) Peer Review College, and also as a Peer Reviewer for the Research Funding Scheme of the Wales Office for Research and Development for Health and Social Care. Ray has also agreed a book contract with Routledge to write a single authored book on Young Offenders and the Law.

Paul van Schaik has been appointed to the Editorial Boards of two leading human-computer interaction journals, Behaviour and Information Technology and Interacting with Computers.
