The event focused on the UCAS application process, choosing a course and university and revision hints and tips.
Sessions in health, social sciences, business, engineering and web also offered the learners an insight into the way courses are taught at higher education level and proved to be extremely inspiring and informative.
Equally successful were two discovery days held earlier in the term for Year 13 and Adult students. Access, A-level and BTEC students from across the Tees Valley and North East enjoyed subject sessions in social sciences and law, English, history, science, media and business.
Among responses from those attending the event was one who said, ‘Prior to attending I felt nervous about the academic study however, the staff have really given me the answers I required to boost my confidence and pursue this challenging and rewarding field.’
