Mr Wyllie, who is also Chief Executive of Costain, led a workshop on how emerging and disruptive technologies could impact the role of civil engineers in the future.
He met students from Civil Engineering courses to offer information and advice about the industry and took part in a question and answer session.
During his visit at the beginning of May, Mr Wyllie also met with Professor Simon Hodgson, the University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) and there was a presentation from staff about the current research within the engineering department.
