Writing and reading the future
Audience: A ‘level English language and literature students
Through practical workshops we explore writing exercises and analyse a contemporary text through close reading and discussion.
You learn:
- strategies for moving through blocks and stuckness in your writing
- how to generate fresh material and first drafts
- how to access your creativity, let go of anything that is holding you back and get your ideas onto the page.
We also work together to 'close read' and discuss a piece of creative text from Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale and you’ll practice your persuasive writing skills and produce a creative manifesto.
