You learn through a combination of live elements and pre-recorded material. Tutor support is available throughout the specified weekly times, but you can complete the tasks flexibly outside of these times.

Winter university
Start date: Wednesday 21 January, Wednesdays for eight weeks, 6.00pm-9.00pm
You can study up to 30 credits at Winter University and you can select up to three modules on the same application form. If you would like to add a module later, or change one of your choices, then please email winter.university@tees.ac.uk.

What you study
- algebraic manipulation
- functions, including logarithm and exponential functions
- solution of equations with one or more unknown involving algebraic, trigonometric, logarithmic and exponential functions
- circular measure and trigonometry applied to non-right angled triangles
- elementary calculus using tables of standard derivatives and integrals
- basic techniques of differentiation and integration
- simple applications of derivatives and integrals.
How you are assessed
You are assessed through a 1.5 hour online examination.
Entry requirements
Entry requirements
GCSE Mathematics or equivalent is a prerequisite for this course.
As this is an online course you need access to a computer and be comfortable learning through an online platform. A strong and stable internet connection is required, and a webcam and microphone to participate in any interactive elements of the course.
International applicants must have an IELTS overall score of 5.5 or higher.
