I’ve worked with undergraduate and postgraduate students across various UK institutions, and I bring practical industry knowledge into my teaching, enriching the learning experience.

What do you most enjoy about teaching at Teesside University London?
I take great satisfaction in preparing students to take on new challenges in their careers. I focus on equipping them with the tools to find sustainable solutions and achieve success in their professional lives.
How do your students benefit from your experience?
I have taught a diverse range of subjects including finance and accounting, business economics, change management, human resource management, strategic management, and innovation and entrepreneurship. I also provide supervision for master's dissertation projects, helping students refine their research and analytical skills.
By combining a learner-centred approach with my extensive management experience, I aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice, ensuring my students gain the practical insights they need to excel.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in management science and an MSc in management. Over my career, I’ve worked in blue-chip companies and start-ups, holding various management roles. I’ve accumulated 15 years of experience driving business growth in finance, professional services, and technology markets, alongside over 7 years in academia.
As a finance and management professional, I advised multiple businesses on strategic planning, succession, and sustainable growth, helping new ventures thrive. I’ve worked closely with individuals to develop their ideas into successful businesses, providing guidance across business setup, compliance, marketing, and management.

I have established strong links with global financial services and tech companies. Over the last decade, I’ve collaborated with professionals from these sectors to create tailored solutions for their internal and external stakeholders. My expertise in management has helped shape the sustainable growth of start-ups and innovative ventures.
How has your industry experience enhanced your teaching?
My strategic leadership and entrepreneurial experience inform my teaching. I help students identify knowledge gaps early in their studies and tailor my lessons to address these, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-world business challenges. It’s incredibly rewarding to see students confidently tackle new challenges as they progress in their careers.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
A career highlight has been managing teams in financial management, operations, and strategic leadership. Leading high-performing national and international teams has been particularly rewarding, as has my role in merging a medium-sized enterprise into a national brand, delivering significant business growth.
