Clearing is a chance to get a place on a course after the main UCAS application deadline has passed. If you're successful, you'll be able to start with us this September. You can contact us directly to find out if we can offer a spot on one of our courses.

What to do when you get your results

I got the results I wanted

Congratulations! We're so proud of you.

If Teesside University London is your firm choice, log in to your UCAS Hub account for information about your offer and to see any further instructions.

If Teesside University London is your insurance choice and you've decided to join us, you'll need to contact your firm choice and ask to be released. You can then get in touch with us and we will support you on the next steps to make Teesside University London your firm choice on UCAS.

I didn't get the results I needed

Don't worry, there are still options.

You may still have been accepted onto your chosen course or offered an alternative option. Check your UCAS Hub to see if you've been offered a place. If you have, that's great news.

You do not need to contact the university or go through Clearing.

I've changed my mind about where or what to study

You still have choices, don't panic.

If you've changed your mind on the course you want to study at Teesside University London, please contact us to switch courses.

If you don't want to study at the university you have chosen as your firm choice, you can decline the offer and go through Clearing to an alternative university. Check that the course you want to study is available at your preferred university and get in touch with them directly.

Can I apply for multiple courses through Clearing?

You can contact us about multiple courses, but you can only apply for one course at a time. Once you accept a Clearing offer and add it to UCAS, that becomes your formal choice.

Can I apply again for a course I previously rejected?

Yes, you can reapply for a course you've previously declined if you meet the entry requirements for that course through Clearing.

Can I apply again for a course that I wasn't accepted on at Teesside University London?

If you previously applied for a course and were not successful, you can reapply for the same course in Clearing, providing you meet the entry requirements.

I've already applied elsewhere, can I switch to Teesside University London through Clearing?

Yes, but you'll need to decline your current offer in UCAS and be released into Clearing before making the switch.

Can international students apply through Clearing?

Yes, international students are welcome to apply through Clearing. We also offer support with visas and English language requirements.

We protect your personal information and take data privacy very seriously. This means we need to speak to you directly about your application. If you've given prior consent or listed a nominated contact on your UCAS form, we can speak to someone else on your behalf - but please note, you may still need to confirm some personal details during the call.

Who will I be speaking to on the Clearing hotline?

You'll be speaking to a Teesside University London staff member who will be able to guide you through the process and support you with your Clearing application.

Understanding entry criteria, qualifications, and exam results

What qualifications can I use for UCAS tariff points?

We accept all Level 3 qualifications that are assigned UCAS tariff points. You can use the UCAS tariff points calculator to understand if you meet the entry criteria for your course.

What if I can't collect my results on results day?

You will need to contact your school or college to make any arrangements. Teesside University London cannot provide you with your results.

I don't meet the entry requirements for the course I want to study, what should I do?

Please contact us through Clearing and the team will go through your options to find a course that will be suitable for you.

I don't have the qualifications that I need for my course, but I have professional industry experience, can this count towards the entry requirements?

Please contact us to discuss this. We will need to know your previous qualifications, the course you are applying for and your relevant industry experience.

Student support and finance

I've changed my university choice or course through Clearing, do I need to contact Student Finance?

Yes, log in to your Student Finance account and notify them of any changes to your course or university. You can do this at gov.uk/studentfinance as soon as you accept the new offer.

How can I apply for Student Finance?

You can apply for Student Finance online through the official Student Finance website. You can do this at gov.uk/studentfinance. You'll need to create an account, complete the application form, and provide any required documents. Apply as early as possible to avoid delays in receiving your funding.

What support is available for students with disabilities or additional needs?

We offer dedicated support for students with a wide range of needs. If you require any support, please contact us as early as possible so we can make sure everything is in place for you. Find out more here.

Do you offer any scholarships or bursaries?

Yes, many of our scholarships and bursaries are automatically award, and you will receive them automatically without having to apply if you're eligible. Find out more here.

Our undergraduate courses are available through Clearing to international applicants. Please only complete this application form if you have already obtained your qualifications and achieved your grades. You must upload all requested documents including a copy of your passport, academic qualifications and English language qualification, and copies of any sponsor letters or maintenance documents to meet the requirements. If you have previously applied through UCAS for 2024-25 entry, please include your UCAS personal ID number in the course details box.
