Students complete Future Ready Summer Internships 2026
Students from Teesside University London have completed a series of industry-focused internships, delivering impactful projects for organisations across technology, gaming, local government and digital marketing.
The Future Ready Summer Internships programme gave Level 5 students the opportunity to undertake part-time, eight-week internship projects with organisations aligned to their career ambitions. Through the scheme, students were employed and paid by the University on behalf of participating companies through regional funding support.
This year's cohort saw three Computing students and three Games students work on a diverse range of projects that delivered tangible business benefits while providing valuable real-world experience.
The projects included:
- IMA Global, where students supported client web development projects involving the integration of multiple digital platforms.
- SRE Day, where students helped build networks, streamline business processes and support international events management activities.
- Hackney Council's Data and Insights Team, where students contributed to interactive GIS web deployment and development projects for local residents and businesses.
- Red Nought, where students worked on expanding 3D visual asset libraries and developing systems architecture for the game engine's core combat system.

As a testimony to their high relevance for the company, after the internship we’ll be hiring them for 10 hours a week.
The internships concluded with a Celebration Day, where students reflected on their experiences and received advice on enhancing their CVs and preparing for future job opportunities.
