Become a Student Engagement Assistant in Student and Library Services!

As a current TU student, you will have the opportunity to apply to one of our student roles in SLS. You will work across SLS services (Library, Student Life Building and The Buttery) to help manage the learning environments, assist with customer enquiries, and contribute to the SLS model of customer service excellence.

Your responsibilities
• Support service users entering SLS buildings by signposting them to relevant areas
• Help ensure all SLS learning environments are kept tidy and well-managed, including the shelving of books in the Library
• Actively participate in project work across relevant areas

We are looking for people to join the SLS team who are customer focused and passionate about supporting students during their time at Teesside University.
You will be paid £12.28 per hour.
Work is offered 7 days a week in shift blocks to suit you and your studies. There is also the opportunity to support us with projects.
If you are successful, compulsory training will take place Wednesday 1 May 2024 (afternoon).

How to apply
To become a Student Engagement Assistant, you must be a current TU student studying at least 60 credits.

If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview on 15 or 16 April and a group interview on either 17, 18 or 19 April.

We recommend all interested applicants attend one of our Find Out More sessions on 13, 14 or 15 March 2024.
