Robyn's worked on live projects for companies such as Psyche clothing store and Greggs.
I’ve given my all in the past two years which has resulted in being offered a placement here at the Business School as a marketing executive.
When I was at college I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do or where I wanted to study. I felt there was an expectation and pressure to move away from home because everyone else was doing it. I knew I wanted to study something creative but with a strategic element and something challenging. And I wanted to focus on my degree without having to find my feet in a new city. So that’s how I came to choose Teesside.
That hard work pays off, especially at Teesside. I’ve given my all in the past two years which has resulted in being offered a placement here at the Business School as a marketing executive.
It’s really true when people say that you learn the most on the job. I’ve been given the opportunity to actually apply all the knowledge that I have learnt over the past two years; in both B2B and B2C situations. I’ve worked on social media campaigns, content creation, event planning, social selling, and much more. If I’ve learnt anything, it’s that you have to make the most out of opportunities that arise whether they’re within your comfort zone or not. I’ve gained so much confidence and feel as though I can comfortably deliver presentations and create online content. You really do reap the rewards when you try hard.

I can hand on heart say that it was the best decision that I have made in life so far. I have benefitted massively and had so many opportunities pointed my way that I don’t believe I would have got if I had studied anywhere else. I’ve made some fabulous friends and really found my feet and gained the confidence that I never thought I would have.
