Why Teesside University Online Learning?

I wanted to get back to my original profession as an Historian or in a teaching position. I worked as a Voluntary Online Tutor with Action Tutoring and as a voluntary teaching assistant in a special educational needs school. I decided that the best route to my goal of being an online tutor would be to have a UK MA qualification.

Best thing about your course?

I have only finished the first module so far, but I like developing my knowledge and discovering new points of view. It’s good to have history in my life on a higher level. The videos were very interesting and the discussions with the tutors and the other students have been engaging.

Why online learning?

The flexibility of online learning fits in with my family responsibilities. My tutors have been very helpful and are aways well-prepared.

Future ambitions?

I would like to teach history as an online tutor. I’d also like to participate in any academic work or projects

Any advice to someone thinking of studying with Teesside University Online?

Don’t hesitate and sort your admission out in time. The library has many e-books and databases, which gives you a proper opportunity to engage with your chosen subject. The timetables are flexible and you can work around your life commitments.
