About | Contemporary Issues in Education

Join us to explore contemporary issues in education and to learn more about how to become a teacher.

The event will introduce you to the Teesside University study options available to you if you’d like to move into a career in education.

Hear from Miss Beadling, a recent BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies graduate who now works as a primary school teacher in a school rated as Outstanding by Ofsted. Miss Beadling’s session will outline her experiences as a new primary school teacher and there’ll be time for you to ask questions about her job and career path.

During the event you’ll also take part in an interactive case study lecture and workshop session – you’ll explore a range of situations that can present barriers to learning, and how as an education practitioner, you can address these barriers.

Refreshments/lunch will be included and you’ll have the opportunity to meet staff from Teesside University’s education team. A campus tour is also available if you’d like one.

This session is suitable for Year 12 and 13 students. Please ask for further details.
