Spotlight

What links television crime dramas, the murky world of the illegal wildlife trade, forensic investigations into unexplained deaths, and the darker side of the tourism trade?

These are the fascinating subjects which we're putting in the spotlight in our new series of talks to inspire, intrigue and entertain audiences in their own communities.

We're bringing our Spotlight talks to you, to provide an opportunity to gain a bit of thought-provoking insight from our experts, right on your own doorstep.

Spotlight takes our special guests out of the traditional lecture theatre, to venues close to home where you can relax, be entertained and find out more about a range of interesting topics.

Location

Our Spotlight locations have been carefully chosen, taking place at venues across Teesside, including Stockton, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Saltburn.

Speakers

Launching our Spotlight series are our guest speakers, Dr Rhys Williams, Dr Desire Dalton, Dr Ben Lamb and Beverley Boden, who will each share insight and expertise in their own fields of research and interest.

Upcoming events

Each event is open to staff, students and members of the public.
