We are hosting a hackathon event at our Middlesbrough campus to raise awareness of the challenges faced by care leavers and to inspire people to find solutions.

The day will include inspirational guest speakers, including 'child of the state' Lemn Sissay, instructions on the format of the Hack, team building and support in presenting the Hack idea. We expect that the day will produce a plethora of ideas that can be turned into actions.

We also anticipate that organisations will be inspired to continue to network beyond the event itself. The day will conclude with each team pitching their idea to a panel, including Andy Preston, Mayor of Middlesbrough, and Bill Scott OBE, who will select the idea that can be taken forward.

This is a free event, refreshments will be provided - but you must register your interest to attend. Places are limited.
