Commercial Team

The Commercial Team provides legal advice and representation to the University and its subsidiary companies, and advice on areas including commercial contracts, employment, litigation, property and company law.

What we do

raise awareness of legal issues and emerging legislation within the University
draft and review legal documentation for a wide range of areas (with reference to the contracts checklist process)
support the legal work of the University's subsidiary companies
advise on property-related matters
advise on intellectual property matters
advise and negotiate in relation to dispute resolution
instruct and supervise external legal advisers.

What we don't do

We cannot provide legal advice to students or individual employees of the University about personal matters. Legal advice can only be given on business-related matters.
