Join us to raise awareness and mark Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week 2024 by taking part in our activities listed below.

Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week is a national campaign aimed to raise awareness of sexual violence, highlight specialist support and to stand in solidarity with so many people who have experienced it.

Service Showcase - Mon 5 Feb, 11am - 2pm, The Student Life Building (Ground floor)
Come along to the Student Life Building to find out more about our local specialist support services available to all staff and students.

Coffee and Colour with the SVLO’s – Tue 6 Feb, 11am - 1pm, The Student Life Building (1st floor Landing)
Join us for a coffee and colour. Grab yourself a brew, colour some pictures and have a chat with our team of SVLOs. Our dedicated team of Sexual Violence Liaison Officers provide 1-2-1 specialist support to any students who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. Consent Matters Stand - 5, 6, 7 Feb, 11am – 2pm, The Student Life Building (Ground floor)
Chat with Teesside Students’ Union about the University’s free Consent Matters training available through Blackboard. Learn about respect, boundaries, and positive intervention. To complete the training go to 'Blackboard', 'Organisations' and then 'Consent Matters'.

Sexual Violence Training for Staff - Wed 7 Feb, 12pm - 1pm, The Curve (T3.03) The training aims to provide you with insights into the myths and conception around sexual violence as well as support available at the University. Staff can sign up for training via Unity, spaces are limited.
