Almost three years.
Middlesbrough.
I applied because I wanted to promote my hometown of Middlesbrough, which I’m extremely passionate about. I was helped by student ambassadors when I attended an open day during college. I decided that if I got a place at Teesside University I would apply to be an ambassador to help the next generation of students.
I’ve had so many amazing work opportunities as a student ambassador. I’ve helped out at open days, visited primary and secondary schools across the region and I even got to speak about my journey to university in front of the health and care students at my old college.
Gaining valuable experience for my future career and working with all my amazing colleagues – it’s like a big student ambassador family!
Just do it! It’s an amazing and valuable experience and it’s also a great way to make new friends at University. The experiences you have as a student ambassador are so varied that your work skills will be relevant to any career path you’re thinking about – no two shifts are the same!
