Why did you want to become a student ambassador?

I wanted to enhance my CV and gain professional work skills and ethics.

What sort of work have you been involved with?

I have worked at many University open days helping visitors and sharing information about my course and student life. I’ve also spent time working in schools and holding information stalls about the University and higher education.

What’s the best part of your role as an ambassador?

The part I appreciate the most is the mutual respect and professionalism shown by all staff and students involved in the programme. I also really enjoy the social aspects of the job.

What’s your favourite thing about Teesside?

People here are so relaxed and cheerful. Also, the area is affordable with everything nearby.

What would you say to anyone thinking about applying to the ambassador programme?

I’d encourage them to apply, keep the professionalism of the role going and make the most of it – the programme offers great experiences and good memories.
