Summer university
Start date: Starts Monday 2 June , Mondays and Wednesdays for 4 weeks, 6.00pm-9.00pm
You can study up to 30 credits at Summer University and you can select up to three modules on the same application form. If you would like to add a module later, or change one of your choices, then please email summer.university@tees.ac.uk.
Age restriction
Due to the content and delivery of our Summer University courses, it is advised that applicants are aged 16+ at the time of enrolment. If you are applying for an online course and are under the age of 18 at the time of enrolment, you must provide a completed parental consent form. You can download the

What you study
- evolution of marketing, including definitions and philosophy
- organisational environment
- marketing research and information
- customer insights - segmentation and targeting, introduction to consumer behaviour
- application of the marketing mix
- introduction to marketing in a range of contexts - services, B2B, PR, and digital marketing.
How you are assessed
By a 1,500 word digital marketing strategy proposal. You create a digital marketing strategy for an organisation of your choice or one of its products or services.
Your report is underpinned by applicable theory and course content to demonstrate digital marketing concept application.
