My residential experience was instrumental in my choice to study Concept Art at Teesside. It gave me the opportunity to experience the University first hand and build lasting relationships that have continued to this day.
Probably the most fun I've ever had! There was an amazing mix of social and academic activities, giving me a real insight into what both these areas could look like at university. I took park in the law subject session, it was so engaging and helped me decide that this is definitely what I want to study at university. The staff and student ambassadors made it a very relaxed, welcoming and supportive environment. I came in really nervous and I came out confident and feeling like a completely different person!
The residential fostered an environment where curiosity and innovation thrived. We were empowered to explore the world of engineering in hands-on, practical ways. For any girl considering a career in engineering, this residential is an amazing opportunity to ignite your passion, learn new skills, and build connections. It was an unforgettable experience!
The best University residential experience I've had. It really served as an enriching experience that helped me decide if University was an option for me. I'd definitely pick Teesside University as my first choice now simply because of this experience. The academic sessions gave me a feel for what and where we would be studying related to our chosen course and I just learnt so much during those 3 days
Teesside University was a 100/10 experience which I’d recommend to anyone. Through practical and engaging workshops, I got a proper insight into the subject I’m interested in. One of the most memorable moments was the quiz night and karaoke because everyone got involved and the energy was amazing. The campus is so cutting-edge, I really enjoyed exploring it. The student ambassadors were also down to earth and helpful. I left the residential feeling much more confident about going to university. Thank you!
I wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity. My young person got to explore the University, hear from other students and professionals and gain an insight into University life. Everything seemed well run and I felt like my young person was safe at all times
My experience at the Teesside residential was amazing. We did a range of social activities including Level X where we enjoyed karting, bowling and crazy golf to a Halloween social night where we won prizes. The academic sessions really gave me a good understanding of what it’s like to study at university and how different subjects work. Every member of staff and the student ambassadors were so welcoming, patient and kind throughout the whole residential and there for you if you ever had any problems whilst away from home. It has 100% changed my thoughts about going to university.
My son had a great time and made some lovely friends. The residential was fantastically well organised and proved to be an excellent taster of what life could be like at university.
