Business technology

Do you have a passion for computing, but want to pursue a business-oriented career? Understanding how to identify business challenges, find technological solutions, manage technology projects and services, build defences against cyber-attacks and analyse business data is key to future success. You explore this exciting and evolving field in interactive workshops, where you'll take an example case study and experiment using rapid development tools to create a technology solution.

Comics and graphic novels

Experience the comic making process from start to finish. Learning professional methods along the way as well as the techniques and theory behind each process, you produce a finished comic book page. Will this be the start of your epic journey into the world of sequential arts?

Event management

From Coachella to Creamfields, weddings, baby showers and everything in between, events management has become a vast, multimillion pound industry. We discover how brand marketing, project, operations and risk management and accounting all feed into this multidisciplinary profession. Working in small groups, you create a new and original music festival based on your musical taste and knowledge of popular music.

Dive into a world of debate as we examine some of the more controversial areas of the law. Guided by members of our Law team, you’ll cover a range of topics and hone your debating skills on the most contentious issues. You get to see our student law clinic and experience conducting a professional interview.

Sports and rehabilitation

Discover how the human body and mind responds to exercise and how this can improve health and sports performance. Learn methods to reduce, and rehab from, injury, including taping, strapping and foam rollering, and take part in a hydrotherapy pool session. You can bring your own swimwear and participate in the pool or experience what’s it’s like to deliver this session with sport staff.
