College Transition Bursary

About this bursary

You may be eligible for £500 if you study with us to help with the costs of starting university.

The cash payment is designed to support students during their first semester and can be used towards travel or everyday living costs.

Eligible students will receive their payment in October 2026.

Bursary offered at application stage and on a first come, first served basis.

Eligibility

To apply you must:

• be a new undergraduate student enrolling in Semester 1 of the 2026/27 academic year
• be domiciled in the Yorkshire and Humber region with a YO or LS home postcode
• successfully enrol on Year 0 or Year 1 full time degree on Teesside University Middlesbrough campus (TS1)
• have made your application to Teesside University on or after 14 August 2026

You are not eligible if you are:

• enrolled on an apprenticeship

How to apply

You do not need to apply for this bursary. If you are eligible, you will automatically receive a one-off payment of £500 in October 2026 once you have successfully enrolled.
