Animex keynote speaker announced

Animation industry consultant Max Howard, who has collaborated on films such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and The Lion King, has been announced as the keynote speaker at the 2010 Animex Festival.

The Animex International Festival of Animation and Computer Games, held annually at Teesside University, takes place from February 8 to 12.

Max Howard, President of Exodus Film Group, was formerly Senior Vice-President of Disney Feature Animation and President of Warner Bros Feature Animation.

During his 12 years at Disney he worked on film successes such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit? The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King.

While at Warner Bros he oversaw the award-winning animated feature The Iron Giant and international hit Space Jam. More recently he produced Igor for the Exodus Film Group.

Max is sought after as a consultant and lecturer for the animation industry, working with companies and organisations from all over the world. He is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (the Oscars).
