Getting to grips with TeesRep: Depositing non-textual outputs

In this workshop we will introduce PhD researchers to Teesside University’s research repository, TeesRep, with a focus on depositing non-textual research outputs such as creative practice, performances, exhibitions, designs, and other non-traditional formats.

Whether you’re preparing to submit practice-based materials, or accompanying documentation, this session will guide you through how to upload, describe, and manage non-textual outputs so they are accessible, compliant, and accurately represented within TeesRep.

We’ll cover how records for non-textual items are structured, what supporting files or metadata you may need, and how to link related outputs, projects, and publications. You’ll also learn how depositing your work supports visibility, preservation, and long-term access both during and after your PhD.

Please bring along your laptop so you can have a go at working with your own materials during the session.

Suitable for all PhD students working with or planning to submit non-textual research.
