Solicitor, Jacksons Law Firm

Erica Turner

LLB, class of 2006

'As a solicitor in Jacksons commercial property team I deal with all aspects of commercial property.'

I deal with buying and selling commercial premises and granting leases on behalf of landlords, renewing leases for both landlords and tenants and negotiating leases on behalf of prospective tenants. I act on behalf of an electricity company in relation to easements for electricity cables and its acquisition of freehold and leasehold substation sites. I also deal with a regional ambulance service which frequently takes leases and licences for ambulance standby points..

After my law degree I completed a Legal Practice Course at York College of Law on a part-time basis while working part time for Jacksons Law Firm. I completed the Legal Practice Course with distinction in 2008 and started my training contract with Jacksons Law Firm in 2008 and qualified as a solicitor in the commercial property team in 2010.
