Andrew Bingham

Dr Andrew Bingham

Dean

Andrew is responsible for the overall strategic development of the School. He was previously Associate Dean (Learning & Teaching) in the School of Computing, Engineering & Digital Technologies. Andrew is also a Higher Education Academy Senior Teaching Fellow and University Associate Teaching Fellow. He has a keen interest in supporting student learning through digital technology and artificial intelligence using data driven approaches.

Elaine Fryett

Associate Dean (Learning & Teaching)

Elaine has a passion for transforming lives through education. Her discipline provides a focus in the areas of strategy, leadership and organisational behaviour, and as a current student herself, she is completing a doctorate in transdisciplinary practice with a focus on the search for excellence in learning and teaching. She has spent the last 11 years working with our students in the Business School and now dedicates her work to leading the learning and teaching strategy in the School to achieve positive outcomes for our students, communities and wider stakeholders.

Noel Dennis

Dr Noel Dennis

Associate Dean (Marketing & Student Recruitment)

Noel is a professional jazz musician and founder and former co-editor of Arts and the Market (formally Arts Marketing an International Journal). Noel is an advocate of adopting creative methods in the classroom. He uses his musical experience to offer a creative approach to business education - specifically strategic management, entrepreneurship and leadership. Noel is the strategic lead for the School's marketing and student recruitment portfolio.

Dr Simon Lynch

Associate Dean (International)

Simon Lynch leads the School's international portfolio of activities . Simon has worked at the University for 25 years with breaks to work in Sri Lanka and in Botswana. Simon's interests include international development, artificial intelligence and complexity.

Richard Atkinson

Richard Atkinson

School Manager

Richard joined Teesside University International Business School in 2018, bringing to the role a wealth of experience from previous roles in the education sector. As a member of the senior executive team he is responsible for monitoring the budget for income and expenditure, as well as managing resources such as staffing and facilities.


Helen Smith

Helen Smith

School Registrar

Helen has carved out a long standing career at Teesside University and brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. Helen became a School Register in 2017 and joined Teesside University International Business School in October 2019. She is responsible for supporting the Dean in the management of academic and student activities through the student journey, and supporting the academic quality assurance of the student learning experience.
