About | Academic writing style for research

This session aims to improve researchers’ understanding and skills in writing and editing their work, either for a thesis or for other publications.

The approach taken is that the best way to be a better writer is to be a better reader – something which is best done by comparing different styles of writing. Practical techniques of writing and editing are also covered with a chance to try out some of these techniques in practical work.
