Movement is important for our mental health. But so many of us struggle to move enough. We know there are many different reasons for this, so this Mental Health Awareness Week we want to help people to find moments for movement in their daily routines.

We would like to help you get moving with the following activities:
Mindful movement
Thu 16 May, 12:15-12:45 and 18:30-19:00, in the Library Exhibition Space, ground floor.
This is a Yoga and Pilates based movement session.
No need for special clothing and no need to book. Just turn up. Why not take a short break from work or study for some gentle movement. Open to students and staff.

Teesside Sport is offering a 1-week free gym membership to University staff to encourage movement during Mental Health Awareness Week 2024. Staff can register for a 1-week free membership with full access to the gym and sports facilities by speaking to staff on the Olympia reception desk. The membership must be activated between 13-19 May and will then run for 1-week from activation.

Take a look at the Mental Health Awareness week website for more ideas on how to add some movement into your day.
