Learn about tourism in Japan and how the government is seeking to grow inbound visitors and try your hand producing some new marketing ideas to promote our region.

Comics and graphic novels
In this cartooning workshop you develop an eight-panel comic from start to finish. Beginning with the creation of an original character, you then design the background and props. Demonstrations include facial expressions, camera angles, sequencing panels, character motivation, and portraying time in space.

Food and nutrition
Experience our state-of-art facilities to explore nutrition and food science and technology.
Using analytical measurements, conduct sensory evaluations for ranking and texture analysis of food products. Uncover the truth behind food packaging, nutrition claims, and ingredient lists, understanding how to critically assess food labels and make better-informed decisions about the food you consume. And through practical sessions measuring sugar content in traditional and sugar-free beverages, explore food formulation and health claims.

Law
Interested in working in the criminal justice system? Join us and get experience of interviewing, advising and representing mock clients. Guided by solicitors and members of our law team, you'll research a controversial area of law, then using your interview skills, provide legal advice and mediating on behalf of your client.
