Film, journalism and TV
Interested in a career in film, TV, or journalism, either in front of the camera or behind it? Through practical workshops choose your story, choose your studio role, and get hands on as you devise, rehearse, and record a current affairs TV show.

Marketing has the power to move people and is a powerful tool used to increase market share and awareness. Learn about the marketing industry, its influence and the impact messaging can have on consumers. Take part in a strategic management and planning session, where you pitch a business idea; learn about content creation, branding and how organisations use social media to enter new markets and develop new marketing ideas for a well-known brand.
Nursing
Take the first step toward a rewarding career as a nurse or nurse associate.
Through engaging and interactive taster sessions get a sneak peek into the dynamic world of healthcare. Work with state-of-the-art simulation mannequins to practice your nursing skills. Become involved with a simulation involving deteriorating a patient who suffers a medical emergency. Learn about the importance of clear communication, great teamwork and the importance of human factors in emergency situations. Learn the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest and the difference between cardiac arrest and heart attack. Practice correct CPR techniques, including chest compressions and rescue breath and gain confidence in how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Explore how psychological knowledge can be applied to address real world problems. Discuss psychological work from the fields of forensic psychology, neurodevelopmental disorders and cyberpsychology, and how it impacts different groups of people, communities, and professional practice. Learn about psychological theory and literature related to wrongful convictions, prosopagnosia (the inability to recognise faces), and the impact of technology on human life. You will work as a team to research, plan and present your own psychological resource to raise awareness about one of the real-world issues.
