Will you join us and Move More in May?
Now’s a great time to build some activity into our daily routines, as the evenings are lighter, and the days are warmer too.
Movement doesn’t have to involve strenuous exercise such as running or working out at the gym. Low intensity daily activities such as going for a walk, gardening, or even cleaning the house, can make a big difference to your health and general wellbeing.
Callum Anderson, Sports Development Officer, will be offering taster sessions on May 14th to support you with moving more. Please see the details below:
Climbing wall sessions:
Time: 12-1 and 1-2
Date: Wednesday, May 14th
Location: University climbing wall, Olympia Building
Please wear clothing that you can move freely in and covers upper legs and midriff where the harness will rub if it’s against skin.
Staff walking session:
Time: 6-8pm
Date: Wednesday 14th May
Location: Commencing from Scanbeck Hole carpark (near Marske by the sea) on the A1085
Please wear clothing that you can walk freely in including either walking boots or comfortable trainers.
We provide a safe, welcoming, supportive environment for you to. Please bring any personal medication that you may need and let the activity leader (Callum Anderson) know of any illness or feelings of unwellness before or during the walk.
BOOKING FOR THESE SESSIONS IS ESSENTIAL - please contact Callum Anderson, c.anderson@tees.ac.uk in advance to book a place on either of the climbing wall sessions or the evening walk.
