Meet at the Student Life Building at 08:45. The taxi will then arrive at 9:00am and take us to Middlesbrough Environment City, Sandy Flatts Lane (The old Nature World site). It will take about 15 minutes to get there. Following a safety briefing and putting on PPE, we will take part in activities such as: clearing overgrown areas, preparing beds for winter vegetables, weeding, reseeding pots, laying chippings.....digging!
We will help to transform the area to make this a thriving community space to help with sustainability and the environment. Refreshments will be provided.
The taxi will then pick us up at 12:30 and we will return to campus, making it back for 1:00pm. You will need to dress appropriately for this task, good footwear, layers, warm clothing.
There will be a short form to complete before the day, which will be sent to you.
Please note - we require at least 10 volunteers for this event to go ahead.
