Climbing for wellbeing

Come and try Rock Climbing at our on campus Climbing Wall and discover what you can achieve with our supportive and empowering, expert staff.

Climbing for Wellbeing is part of our new Adventure for Wellbeing project, these climbing sessions aim to help you try something new, while building confidence as well as benefitting your physical and mental wellbeing.

You’ll experience the physical activity and social elements of the sessions, as well as the sense of achievement the activity provides as you progress.

When asked whether the sessions had helped, a previous participant told us “Climbing gave me confidence in something new, and a feeling of belonging with others”

All equipment is provided, and no previous experience is required.

The sessions will take place fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon in the Olympia building, climbing wall, from 2pm-4pm on the following dates:

  • 5 November 2025
  • 19 November2025
  • 3 December2025
  • 17 December 2025
  • 21 January 2026
  • 4 February 2026
  • 18 February 2026
  • 4 March 2026
  • 18 March 2026

Booking is required as spaces are limited.
