Can I confirm if my qualifications and/or experience meet the entry requirements for the course before I apply?

Please check the entry requirements on our course page before you apply. If you have any queries, please email onlinelearning@tees.ac.uk.

When should I expect to hear back about my application?

Once you submit your application, we send you a confirmation email. The admissions team then reviews your application and contacts you if they require any further information.

Can my previous study and work experience be considered for credit exemptions?

Yes, knowledge and skills can come from many types of formal and informal learning. Applications should be made as soon as possible and normally alongside the application for entry to the course, during the admissions process.

Can I access a student loan to pay for my TU Online course?

Yes, our online distance learning courses can be funded by undergraduate tuition fee loans and postgraduate student loans.

Can I use ELCAS to fund my TU online course?

If you are serving or have served in the armed forces, you may be eligible to use Enhanced Learning Credits to fund your online studies at Teesside University.

Can I use the Apprenticeship Levy to pay for my TU Online course?

No, our TU Online courses are not classed as apprenticeships and are not funded through the apprenticeship levy.

Am I eligible for a Teesside University Student Card (TUSC)?

Yes, as part of one of your enrolment steps you will receive an email requesting you to upload a passport-style photo.

If you require your TUSC for a Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL) application, you can request your card to be posted to you through our student life team. Please email studentlife@tees.ac.uk

You can visit Teesside University campus and head to our Library reception to have your TUSC printed.

Where can I view the assessment structure for my course?

Your assessment structure is provided once you have enrolled onto your course and have started your modules. Your tutor will provide any assessment information when starting your new module.

Can I attend graduation as a TU Online student?

Yes, as a TU Online student, once you have received your final grade, we invite you to join us for our graduation celebrations. We invite you to the graduation ceremony dates closest to your results being released. We send your invitation to your student email address.
