I received a fully-funded research doctoral studentship, and Teesside’s reputation for high-quality education standards, incredibly well-respected academic members, and cutting-edge research facilities enticed me to undertake my PhD here.

The University provides excellent opportunities, supporting postgraduate researchers to attend conferences, and submissions to the Chartered Association of Business Schools’ journals.

The Business School academics have expertise in fields such as fintech, sustainability, management, innovation, human resources and economics. The campus is vibrant with so many places to go to when you don’t have lectures, like the Students’ Union, which is a great place to relax with friends, get a bite to eat, or get support if you need it. You can also get support from your academic supervisors, in Student Life and the Library. The Library is spacious and open 24/7, which is very convenient when you have a busy schedule.

I have delivered undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and seminars on international business and management, ethics, governance, accounting reporting, financial crime and cybersecurity.

Additionally, I have supervised more than 16 undergraduate and postgraduate students.

In the future, I’d like to work in higher education.
