Even though we’re studying online, I’ve always felt there’s real human support behind the screen.
I wanted to build on my career experience and the flexibility of online learning made that possible without stepping away from work or family life. It also means I can connect with people from different parts of the world and industries, which adds so much richness to the experience.
I used to work at Teesside University when I lived in the UK, and it left a lasting impression on me. I saw firsthand how supportive and forward-thinking the University is, so when I decided to study again, Teesside felt like the natural choice.
I wanted to strengthen my leadership and strategic decision-making skills. I’ve spent years working in operations and project management, and I wanted to bring a more strategic, big-picture lens to the work I do every day.
I’ve really enjoyed the sustainability module – it’s been both thought-provoking and relevant to my professional work. It encouraged me to think deeply about how sustainability can be embedded into business strategy, not just treated as an add-on. It also inspired my dissertation topic which explores how organisations integrate sustainable practices into project management. I’ve loved being able to connect the research directly to what I do at work and see the practical impact it can have.
They’ve been fantastic – approachable, encouraging and genuinely invested in helping students succeed. Even though we’re studying online, I’ve always felt there’s real human support behind the screen.
I’d like to move into a senior leadership role where I can help shape organisational strategy and culture, guiding teams through change and growth in a way that feels both structured and human.
Absolutely. The platform is easy to navigate, the tutors are great, and the course structure works really well for professionals. Teesside has a personal touch that makes you feel like part of a community, even from miles away.
