Our sessions provide targeted curriculum support and access to facilities including VFX studios, motion-capture suite and animation labs. Choose your topics from the below list. We suggest a minimum of 1 and maximum of 3 topics.
> Animation, visual effects and motion graphics
Animation, visual effects and motion graphics fill our screens in film, TV and commercials much more than we often realise. In this workshop students are introduced to some of the tools and techniques that lie behind this visual wizardry.
> Concept art
Students design characters, creatures and environments for film, games and animation. They are challenged to question what they see and how it’s perceived. Practical activities include drawing techniques to help capture ideas on paper to create something like never seen before.
> Games design, development and programming
Using an industry standard game engine such
as Unreal or Unity students create a playable
game environment using a range of gameplay scripting techniques.
> Games art
In this hands-on workshop students produce assets using industry-standard modelling / sculpting software ready for use in a game engine such as Unreal or Unity.
> Stop motion animation
Stop motion animators are behind the magic of Wallace & Gromit and the amazing Oscar winning Pinocchio. Students have the opportunity to bring puppets and objects to life in our state-of-the-art stop motion studio.
