The hidden war in Sudan explained
Waad Ebrahim, a Sudanese citizen and activist, and One Community Link collaborated with TU in June 2025 to offer a thought-provoking fundraising educational talk about the ongoing war in Sudan.
Thanks to your generous support, we raised £248, which was donated to Takya, a community kitchen in Elfasher while the city was under the RSF siege. Takya provided food for the people who were still trapped the area.
The educational event was hailed as compelling, insightful, necessary, and emotionally touching—shedding much-needed light on this "hidden war" that continues to be under-represented in mainstream media.
Given the critical importance of this humanitarian catastrophe, we have decided to host another educational session on Wednesday 11th, February 2026, 1-3pm in T2.11 (Curver Building). Our objective is to extend reach and participation so that more members of our research, teaching, and learning community can come and stand in solidarity with the Sudanese people.
Thank you again for your generosity and commitment to justice. Your support matters and is truly felt by those most in need. Please register here to attend the event.
