Free Cookery classes for students

Would you like to learn some basic cooking and food hygiene skills? Are you interested in having a go at cooking some tasty but affordable meals and snacks? Then come along to our Cookery classes.

The aim of the classes is to teach you how to cook some easy to prepare, affordable, and healthy meals and snacks and it’s completely FREE to attend.

At the end of a session you get to take home what you’ve made so you get your evening meal for free

There will be 3 sessions running this term, each session will be the same so you can only sign up for 1 session

All sessions are 1.30-3.30pm on a Wednesday afternoon, on the 10th floor of Middlesbrough Tower, room M10.07. See below for details:

Wednesday 20th February Wednesday 27th February Wednesday 6th March

Each session will include: • Health and Safety in the kitchen and basic skills/introduction to the sessions • Have a go at cooking a five bean chilli and flatbread

There will be recipes available for you to take home for everything you make, in case you want to give it a go at home. Spot prizes of a FREE student cook book will also be up for grabs.
