Open Day attracts over 500

24 August 2009

Our Open Day on Saturday 22 August attracted over 500 visitors, enquiring about courses for both September 2009 and September 2010.

The University still has places to offer for this September, thanks to the government’s allocation of extra university places in the subjects of Computing, Business, Engineering and Science and Technology.

Pat White, Acting Deputy Director, Marketing & Student Recruitment, said: 'This is a successful year for the University and our August Open Day provided the opportunity for those considering entry to Teesside this autumn to finalise admission arrangements. Our visitors came from all parts of the UK and they received a very warm welcome from staff and students.

'We are continuing with our undergraduate recruitment campaign following the additional full-time undergraduate places provided by the government. The next two weeks will see University recruitment campaigns to part-time courses and to our new Darlington location.'

For more information about courses, visit our clearing section, or call the University’s freephone number on 0800 9520226.
