A global gathering at Teesside

14 October 2010 @TeesUniNews

Over 500 international students were given a warm Teesside welcome at our annual special reception for overseas students.

The reception took place in The Hub on the top floor of the Students’ Union on Southfield Road. It was launched with welcomes from the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Graham Henderson and Middlesbrough Mayor Ray Mallon

Dr Keith Brown, Director of the University’s Centre for International Development, said: 'Teesside University has had a record intake of over 700 new international students this October. The evening was our welcome to them, of all nationalities and faiths.’

The event was also open to all staff with an interest in working with international students.
