Time Warp through History taster day

29 June 2000

Did Robin Hood really rob the rich to give to the poor? Was Victorian Society really respectable - or was there a seamy underworld? And who was the best; Bob Dylan or the Beatles? These and many other historical questions will be explored at the University of Teesside's History Taster Day on Tuesday 11 July from 9.30am-3.30pm.

Margaret Hems, History course leader said: "The day is free and open to anyone who is interested in studying History, from lower sixth formers to mature students. You can choose from several sessions and there's an interactive computer option which gives hands-on experience with primary History sources. We will also provide information about History degrees at Teesside. Students can chose from three different strands, either BA (Hons) History, BA (Hons) Modern and Contemporary European History, or BA (Hons) Social and Cultural History. "
