Transform yourself into a legal eagle at Teesside

06 August 2001

Do you want to convert your existing degree into a Law degree? Then come to the University of Teesside, which launches a new Senior Status LLB (Hons) degree in September. The new course is suitable for graduates of any academic discipline. After two years of full-time study, or three years part-time, graduates will achieve an LLB (Hons) degree and exemption from the first stage of professional training towards becoming a solicitor and barrister.

Helen Howard, Admissions Tutor for Law at the University of Teesside, said: “The Senior Status LLB will appeal to graduates who wish to change their career, but may have been reluctant to do so due to the length of time it takes to retrain. The degree gives an opportunity to explore a change of career, or even to progress further in an existing career. A Law degree opens the door not only into the legal profession but also into many other careers such as industry, politics, the civil service or education, to name but a few. The Senior Status LLB is open to graduates of any University and any subject over the last five years, or who have kept their study skills up to date since graduating.”
