What you study

Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to provide you with in-depth knowledge and practical skills. This course consists of 14 modules that cover the following essential topics:

• Catheters: understand the complexities of catheter care and management.
• Diagnosis: master the techniques for accurate and timely diagnosis of continence issues.
• Dignity and continence care: learn compassionate and respectful care practices that prioritise patient dignity.
• Falls and fractures: discover strategies to prevent falls and manage fractures related to continence issues.
• Hydration: explore the critical role of hydration in continence management and overall health.
• Incontinence-associated dermatitis: gain insights into preventing and treating skin conditions caused by incontinence.
• Infection control: equip yourself with the best practices to minimise infection risks incontinence care.
• Managing side-effects: learn to manage and mitigate side-effects associated with continence treatments.
• Mental health and neurodegenerative disease: understand the interplay between continence management and mental health, including neurodegenerative diseases.

How you are assessed

You take a 10-question multiple choice assessment before and after each module to keep track of your progress and monitor your learning. The pass mark for each module is 80%.
