Teesside University International Business School

12 September 2023

A reminder that Teesside University International Business School (TUIBS) has relocated to a new home on campus.

TUIBS is now based within the Phoenix building, in a move which will enable us to better support students and facilitate connections with business.

The majority of TUIBS teaching will be in the new premises from the start of term.

There may be occasions when teaching and other activities need to be scheduled elsewhere on campus, but we will work to keep this to a minimum.

The focus of this development has been to prioritise the building for our students, and it has been implemented based on their direct feedback.

The new premises has modern, adaptable, digital classrooms for a professional and inspiring study environment. There are also social learning areas, dedicated computer labs, and event spaces for collaboration. Students will be welcomed back to the new space in the coming weeks.

In addition, the Clarendon building is now fully occupied by our School of Social Sciences, Humanities & Law and has been renamed Themis (the Greek Goddess of justice, divine order and law). The former TUIBS building, and Clarendon building will now be known as Themis and Themis West.

Student-facing colleagues are reminded to direct students appropriately to the correct buildings when required.
