About this bursary

You may be eligible for £2,500 if you’re studying business or engineering and are facing financial difficulty.

Preference may be given to candidates from underrepresented or financially disadvantaged backgrounds, aligning with the University’s widening participation mission.

You are considered based on the financial circumstances demonstrated in your application statement and other applicant data available to the University.

Courses include:

  • BA (Hons) Business and Accounting
  • BA (Hons) Business Management
  • BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • BEng (Hons) Instrumentation and Control Engineering


Eligibility

To apply for one of these bursarys you must:

  • be applying for the first year of a three-year course, full-time, not the foundation year
  • be a UK home-fee paying student.

Awards are made at the discretion of the Scholarships Panel, who may consider your financial background, prior academic performance, as well as other information provided through your application and at any subsequent interview.
