Meet up again in Middlesbrough

17 April 2002

Calling all graduates of Constantine College, Teesside Polytechnic and the University of Teesside. The Middlesbrough-based University celebrates its tenth birthday this year, and to highlight this milestone its Alumni Association is planning to organise a reunion dinner. The event is for graduates of the University and its predecessors Teesside Polytechnic and Constantine College.

A three-course dinner is being planned to take place at the Thistle Hotel, Middlesbrough on Saturday 29 June, commencing with a Bucks Fizz Reception at 7 pm, and finishing at 12.30am. There will also be an afternoon reception on the University's main campus earlier at 1pm where graduates will have the chance to go on a tour or be immersed in the world of Virtual Reality (VR) in the University's VR Centre. Refreshments will also be available in the Students' Union.

Alumni Officer Sarah Buckley said: "I recently took some graduates from the late 1980s on a tour and they were amazed at how much the campus had changed since they graduated. The reunion will be a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and teaching staff and also see the £50 million investment in the campus".

Tickets are £26 per person and bookings can be taken on-line at www.tees.ac.uk/alumni or call Sarah on 01642 384255, fax 01642 342930. The Alumni Association can help to trace friends from University who you may have lost touch with. E-mail your queries to alumni.office@tees.ac.uk.
