Learning and festive fun in Middlesbrough

Car maintenance in winter, yoga, confidence building, women’s history and beauty makeovers. All these and more will be available at an open day at Hemlington Initiative Centre, Cass House Road, Hemlington, Middlesbrough, on Wednesday 4th December. The open day will include taster sessions, to give a flavour of several new courses. The taster sessions will be delivered by the University of Teesside, Middlesbrough College, Stockton-Billingham College and Cleveland College of Art and Design.

The taster sessions will start at 10am and end at 3pm. A free buffet lunch with a range of non-alcoholic cocktails is on offer from 12 noon to 1pm. A crèche is also available, to pre-book a place call 01642 595740. On Saturday 14th December another open day will be held at the Centre, for all the family, entitled 'Christmas comes to Hemlington'. From 10am to 2pm a range of festive activities will take place, including the chance to meet Santa, build a snowflake mosaic or enjoy a chocolate truffle demonstration.
