06 December 2002

Nearly 2,000 local school pupils and their families will get a festive taste of University life, when they join the University of Teesside’s Meteor Family Fun Day on Sunday 8 December from 1.00pm-4.00pm.

Joanne Bulmer, who organised the event said: “The pupils are aged 10-14 and come from across the Tees Valley. The children and their families will enjoy a range of activities, including an Information Communications Technology Pop Quiz, a Science Pantomime, a tombola and the opportunity to make creative Christmas Crafts.” Wendy Bell, Manager of the Meteor Primary Programme, added: “The Festive Family Fun Day is an ideal opportunity for Meteor children and their families to start the Festive Season with a range of both fun and educational activities.”
